Day 2

  Today was another early morning. I was up at 3:45am. I had work at the grocery store at 6am and since I take public transportation just about everywhere, I have to leave an hour earlier than my shift to make sure that I'm on time. I'm not complaining exactly as I pay $25/week to get places and I know that a car would cost me a lot more. Part of the reason that I got up at that hour was to make sure I got my challenges in before work.

  Last night mom told me that we were going to do a dinner with my step-brother and his wife and my step-dad for Mother's Day. I had planned on going to the candy store after, but mom called and said the dog needed to be monitored and could I please be home for him and dinner. When it's Mother's Day, you don't say no to that. I knew that if I didn't do my challenges before I left for my jobs then I wouldn't get them done. I'm tired of starting the challenges and then one day off turns into two and before you know it a week has gone by.

  Luckily, it was a rest day for two of my challenges so all I need to do is:

  1. 60 sec Plank & Reach
  2. 30 Lunges
  3. 20 Bridges
  4. 40 Squats

  I don't list my exercises to try and make anyone feel bad or to place judgement if you don't workout. Six years ago, I was at one of my heaviest points and all I did to change that was change what I was eating and walk a little more each day. You don't need to go all out to make changes. This is all about helping myself and hopefully encouraging others to try the same thing or something different. 

  The supplement that helps craving is really fantastic. I made it through today with no cravings again and I managed to eat my own food and not the amazing sushi that was ordered for Mother's Day. I'm so lucky that my mom is super understanding with that. She offered and I explained and she said ok. I sat at the table, had the conversations and ate my dinner. I wanted the sushi. I love the sushi. Sushi loves me. And of course, there are leftovers in the fridge now. Absolutely fantastic. ::said with heavy sarcasm & eye rolls:: I have included photos of the sushi and my dinner. 

  I need to catch up on some sleep. Luckily I am not scheduled to do any work until noon tomorrow and so I can actually "sleep in". I will make sure that I do my challenges and get my lunch packed. I picked up some more snacks and protein from the store today. Planning out everything helps keep me on track. Successful Day 2 on the books. Have to say I also really enjoy the booklet that lets me check things off so I have sense of accomplishment for little things. It really does help.
